Grid congestion blocks new fast charging almost everywhere in the Netherlands. Waiting lists for a heavier connection run into years, while drivers already expect a full charge in twenty minutes. NXT Mobility wanted to keep rolling out its ChargePost at sites with little grid capacity left, without giving up charging speed. And every new site had to be manageable from a distance, because dozens of them were coming.
One system,
steering the whole site
Wattmaestro controls the ADS-TEC chargers as part of everything else drawing power on site. The system decides how much capacity the chargers get and when the built-in battery charges, based on day-ahead prices, expected solar yield, other consumption, and the contracted transport capacity. Every location runs its own settings, tuned to its usage pattern and the season. Configuration and management go through the cloud, so nobody has to drive out.

NXT Mobility now offers fast charging at sites where the connection would never allow it on paper. The ChargePost charges at full speed, uses solar power when it is there, and shifts what it can to the cheaper hours. Because a Wattmaestro gateway ships fast and scales without new engineering per site, growth is no longer limited by what the grid operator can deliver.
